Founder of RLS, Katerina Burgess (Rykounova) holds a degree in Russian linguistics from Moscow State University, majoring in grammar. She started her professional career as a teacher of Russian as a foreign language and has several publications to her name. She spent a decade working in the UK financial services industry, obtaining full CEFA qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Bankers. She is an active Russian-English simultaneous legal, political and financial interpreter working in courts, on IPO roadshows and on bespoke projects. Katerina is a popular voice-over artist, is passionate about nuances of cross-cultural communication, both verbal and non-verbal, and enjoys creative language projects.
